WNSO-India is organizing a seminar on “Opportunity and Challenges of Education in India for Nepalese Students” in Nepal Tourism Board on 28th June 2010. WNSO-India had organized a similar seminar last year too in Nepal Tourism Board.
The seminar will feature some distinguished Nepalese alumni of Indian universities and Nepalese students from different fields of study from almost all states of India. The alumni will discuss about the present educational scenario of India and challenges that have to be faced and the ways to tackle them.
The seminar will feature experts from different fields who will talk about the quality of those subjects in Indian universities. The most effective part of the seminar will be the Nepalese students studying in different states of India, who will truly evaluate the pros and cons of studying in India.

Application open for the vacant positions at WNSO-India
Jun 14th
WNSO-India would first like to congratulate Mr. Biswas Parajuli and Mr. Sushil Pandey for their undivided attention and contribution to the executive board 2009/10. They have successfully completed their studies in India and can no longer take the responsibility of executive board. As a result of this, the position of Secretary and Joint Secretary has fallen vacant.
Mr. Suresh Thapaliya and Ms. Kusum Niraula, executive members from Pondicherry and Delhi are also resigning from their post owing to their very hectic study schedule of final year of studies. Consequently, these posts have also fallen vacant. WNSO-India would like to thank them too for their excellent contribution to the executive board as well as entire WNSO family.
WNSO-India is expanding its network exponentially. So, few more posts have to be created to meet the demand of students and other partner organizations. So, in consultation with other WNSO networks, WNSO-India has decided to add 2 more positions from the year 2010/11. They will be – Public Relation Officer and Nepal Contact Person. It must be made clear that Nepal Spokesperson (as is already there) is entirely different from Nepal Contact Person.
WNSO-India invites application from all interested members and non-members for the aforementioned vacant positions. The new executive board will be effective from July 2010. The applicants should attach a cover letter mentioning how they can serve in the executive board with these positions, along with their updated resume. The applications should be sent to india@wnso.org by June 28, 2010.
It is to be noted that all these positions are voluntary and un-paid.
